poor David has strep! i haven't seen anyone get strep for years and years and i can't imagine where he got it. now the concern is for him to keep it to himself!
Joshie got a haircut today. Brenda took him and Jenna and boy does he look handsome! luckily Brenda is letting me pick him up at 5:30 so David can rest at home. we'll see what we can do tomorrow. she is so wonderful with us - we're lucky to have her! :)

Joshie again
...i should have listened to Joshie. he woke up crying at 4 (and at 5:30 and at 6:00) and said "change diaper" - he even used his big boy words. but i thought it was just an excuse of his to stay up so while i sat with him (and David did one of those times too) i said no to the diaper change. i didn't smell anything - and i'm the one who can walk by his room that has the door shut and smell that he pooped.
Sammie seems happier too. she spent monday playing around with Zoe and i know that put her in a really good mood. i hope we can take her again.
the weather is already hot - soon to be unbearable. i'm waiting for the pool to not be green so that we can finally go with Joshie - he LOVES LOVES LOVES the pool! (and baths too).
he can now count to 20 and say his ABCs so cutely (laughing every time he gets to "v"). i wish i could go into his mind and see things how he sees them so i could understand him more. i'm not sure i have to understand him, but i want to.

Busy weekend and a NEW BED
so on Friday Ellen and George brought the bed. since their truck has a short bed this was no small feat - but i knew if anyone is an expert at moving things and can do this - it is them! Joshie was apprehensive but excited. he slept in it fine, only waking up once to make sure his world was still the same - just a bed change.
i LOVE the bed too. i love that Joshie's growing up (although a bit sad that it's so fast!) and i love that i can sneak into his room at night, tuck him in tighter and kiss his moist little forehead without him waking up. he is such a joy and David and i want to enjoy this time as much as possible. it's hard not to. Joshie is the most fun i have ever had in my entire life! we got lucky... that's for sure!
Joel and Cathy were still here so they came over for a lasagna dinner on Saturday night. it was nice this time to have the time to prepare, so i had time to clean the house and make everything right. i hope they enjoyed themselves - they did take seconds so i'll assume they did :o).
Sunday morning we went to have portraits done at sears. sears sucks - whether it's buying appliances, service, whatever - they just suck. but i thought it would be ok. Joshie wasn't having any of it - he was already tired (it was 11 am). we did our best and some of the shots were cute, but most sucked and the girl they had taking photographs sucked too. nice, but didn't know how to do her job. or at least she wasn't on the ball that morning.
last night, Memorial day night, we were at Hannah and Ron's for dinner. Joshie loved the dinner, and loved being there - a big house, a nice dog (Ozzie) and many many toys to play with!

Us and A New Bed
i doubt this is going to be of much interest to anyone but me, David and maybe Joshie (if he knew how to read)... but here goes :)
today Joshie is getting his first big-boy bed. we bought it for $100 from Stephanie. her and Maya are moving somewhere there's already a bed and Maya wanted that bed.
i can't wait! this is a huuuuuge change - first big change since we started him off at Brenda's.
i hope he loves it - i hope we love it!
George and Ellen have kindly - very kindly - offered to bring it. so i will bring dinner and it will be a celebration!
Joel and Cathy are visiting. we saw them last night at Molina's. Joshie loved the chips - dipping them in tomato puree (instead of salsa). he ate shrimp tacos too (spicy!!) and loved them. he is growing up so fast - bli ayin ha ra :).
